Life Legacy
Ted S. Grigsby age 87 of Duenweg, Missouri went to be with his good Lord on February 12, 2011. He passed away at St.John’s Regional Medical Center after a battle with cancer.
Ted was born on March 03, 1923 to Arch and Rena Grigsby in Poteau, OK. Ted had three brothers and sisters, who allpreceded him in death.
Ted served in the Army as a Military Police officer from 1942 to 1946. After his tour in the Army he moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas where he worked as a police officer for five years. Ted met the love of his life, Pauline H. Drake in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They married June 17, 1948. They had four children.
Ted is preceded in death by his parents, six siblings and his beloved wife Pauline. Ted is survived by his son Steve Grigsby Senior and his wife Patti of Joplin, Missouri, son JackD Grigsby and his wife Hattie of Monett, Missouri. Daughter Debi L Taylor and husband Don of Erie, Kansas and daughter Gail M Grigsby and husband Corey Baldwin of Monett, Missouri , fourteen Grandchildren and thirteen Great Grandchildren. Ted was a wonderful husband, father and Grandfather. He was loved and will be missed by all his family.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Great Grandsons.
Graveside services will be held at Baptist Ford Cemetery in Greenland, Arkansas Wednesday February 16, 2011 at 1 o’clock pm with military rites. Arrangements are under the care of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary of Joplin, Missouri. Services officiated by Chaplin Phil Misenheimer.
