Life Legacy


Judith Ann Johnson, 68 of Carl Junction departed this life Thursday, February 9, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Judy was born February 16, 1943 in Webb City to the late Edmund and Anna (Voght) Kluba. She was a graduate of the Joplin Catholic Schools and went on to the College of St. Mary’s in Omaha. On October 15, 1966 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Webb City she was united in marriage to Michael B. Johnson and to this union three sons were born. Together they lived in many cities across Lousiana, Texas and Oklahoma and finally back home to Missouri. Judy enjoyed volunteering at the Outreach House of St. Peter’s and painting on her miniature cities at her home.

She is survived by her husband of the home, three sons; Kelly Johnson and wife Stephana of Austin, Texas, Kevin Johnson of Dearborn, Michigan, and Scott Johnson and wife Anna of Houston, Texas, four grandchildren Ryder, Daxton, Aidan, and Liam Johnson, two brothers Tom Kluba and wife Pamela of Joplin, and Mike Kluba and wife Cheri of Encino, California, two sisters; Angela Lowe and husband Jon of Joplin, and Coleen Wilson and husband Andrew of Joplin.

A prayer service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin with Father J. Friedel officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.thornhilldillon.com.
